Lackawanna County is a county in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. As of the 2010 census, the population was 214,437. Its county seat and largest city is Scranton. It is Pennsylvania's last county to be created. It is named for the Lackawanna River.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 465 square miles (1,200 km²), of which 459 square miles (1,190 km²) is land and 5.8 square miles (15 km²) (1.3%) is water.
